Present with Poise, Pizzazz, and Professionalism
Return to Skill Booster Programs
Program DescriptionDo you sometimes feel powerless to influence people that you have no authority over, like your co-workers or even your boss? You know that what you are saying makes sense, but others don't seem to agree with your ideas or even listen long enough to understand what you are requesting. Do you sometimes have to make presentations to small groups or at meetings and wish that you projected a more confident image?
There is more to becoming a good presenter than overcoming the fear of public speaking. We are actually presenting each time we open our mouth to speak. Roger Ailes, image adviser to top executives and celebrities, wrote a book titled, "You are the Message" and nothing could be any truer.
In this workshop, we will focus on the words you use to express yourself. Some words actually rob you of your power to influence. You will learn how to develop a more credible voice. You will learn how to use your body language to appear more in control of every situation, and confident ways to move during a formal presentation. We will even share some ideas about dressing for success and business etiquette in today's "dress-down" climate.
If you want to persuade and influence other people, project a good public image, or if you just want to learn how to add grace and style to your everyday activities, then this highly interactive workshop is for you. Come prepared to do some impromptu presenting.
